UL006: Johan Hjort – Bright Light

Bright Light escapes the rush of civilization and takes refuge in a forest. It rests and recuperates, it grows strong. But in the end, it can’t withstand urbanization.
This EP is a small taste of Johan Hjort‘s upcoming full-length album, out on deersound later this year.
45,5 MB / 320 kbps MP3 / 20:04.
Why not? If I hate it though, I freely warn you I will hunt you down, tie you up, and make you listen to Robert Palmer’s ‘Addicted to Love’ for a week straight while simultaneously forcing your eyelid open and making you watch the last 5 minutes of every Saved by the Bell episode on endless replay. So this better not suck. These are the travails of being an artist, my friend.
Nice transitionings and melds, but I would have liked more structure, I mean 20 minutes? You have to know nobody is going to listen to anything more than 7-8 minutes long max these days, the focus just kept drifting and I felt like you weren’t really interested in me as a listener, a wee bit masturbatory. I’d do a bit of editing, but that’s just me, what ever floats your boat is the elixir meant for your sea, ya know?
Good foray.
